Sparkler Announce Debut LP 'Big Sonic Chill', Stream "Acid Casualty"

San Diego, CA. shoegaze four-piece Sparkler have announced they will release their debut full-length album ‘Big Sonic Chill‘, due out March 3 through Flesh & Bone Records.

The band have also shared the video for the record’s lead single “Acid Casualty“. Pre-order your copy here.

Formed near the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, Sparkler could have called it quits before it even began. Instead, the band dedicated their time during lockdown to tirelessly crafting the band’s sound and live performance. The effort has paid off, as the band has since burst onto the modern shoegaze scene with a powerful live energy and bold yet catchy songs to back it up.

Sparkler takes nods from ’90s powerhouses such as My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, and Swervedriver and expertly blends them with catchy songwriting and infectious hooks to make a dynamic sound unparalleled in today’s underground music scene.

Whether it’s the grinding guitar with swoops of vibrato, beautiful glass cutting leads, or tight grooves to lock the song together – Sparkler is poised to carry the torch in the modern shoegaze scene.
