Swindon/Bristol indie pop band Stay Lunar have aired their new single “I Like It When You’re Around“, alongside an accompanying music video.
The track “a love-song about friendship”, is out today (Jan 18) via SAM Records. Grab it here.
Singer Harry Leigh explains: “‘I like it when you’re around’ is essentially a love song for friends, and how having them around during tough times makes everything easier. It can be hard to tell people that you need some company during a difficult period mentally, and this song was written while feeling that.”

Stay Lunar “I Like It When You’re Around” Lyrics:
Stop, wait a minute
I know it’s over but we’re living in it
Some things take a while to leave
If i escape, whenever that may be
I’ll meet you under the church that leans
And i’ll tell you
Yeah i’ll tell you
I like it when you’re around
So, take me back to the start
Before the days of the skipping heart
The city life is a work of art
But now i’m bursting into tiny parts
Go, figure out what you need
I’ll meet you here in a year or three
And i’ll tell you
Yeah i’ll tell you
I like it when you’re around
Why is my head so loud
When it won’t even make a sound?
Why is my head so loud
When it won’t even make a sound?
Is there a way you can tell me what this is all about?
Why is my head so loud?
I like it when you’re
I like it when you’re around
