Structure Moderne Reveal New Single/Video "The Rush"

French post punk/krautrock/indie/psych band Structure Moderne have premiered their new single “The Rush” and its accompanying video.

The song features on their upcoming self-titled debut album, due to be released on April 4 via Conicle Records. Pre-order it here.

Structure Moderne is an emerging collective making waves in the indie scene with a unique, transgenerational musical approach. Drawing from a vast palette of influences—ranging from post-punk and new wave to psychedelic jazz and krautrock—their music captures the intensity and freedom of Gang of FourFontaines D.C.Miles DavisNeu!Squid, and The Clash, resulting in compositions that are both hypnotic and visceral.

With The Rush, the band delivers an intense visual immersion where post-punk meets kinetic art. Inspired by Adolf Loos’ anti-ornamentalist architecture and the work of François Morellet, the video translates the track’s tension and urgency into striking imagery. Driven by a restless bassline and frenetic drumming, The Rush oscillates between exhilaration and chaos, weaving elements from Shakespeare’s The Tempest to explore themes of betrayal and rebirth. In this interplay of geometric forms and movement, music and visuals fuse to capture the precise moment when everything shifts.

Their self-titled debut album plunges deep into controlled chaos, fluctuating between trance and fury. This record encapsulates a genre-defying sound, fueled by mesmerizing Afrobeat rhythms, noisy guitars, hypnotic basslines, and soaring psychedelic trumpet sections.
