Suburban Spell Drops New Single/Video "When I Die"

Melbourne-based synthwave / coldwave /electronic artist Suburban Spell (aka Peter Endall) has dropped his new single “When I Die“ and its accompanying video.

The track features on his brand new album ‘Incompatible‘, out today, September 12. Grab your copy here.

Endall had the following to say about the single:

“When I Die is about euthanasia and the ability for oneself to choose to die with dignity. It’s a first person view of reaching the final stages of life and is what i think you would be thinking about when you have to make that decision. Lyrically its a mixture of pathos, humour, confusion and perhaps the fear and hope that your years of dedicated atheism is about to be tested.”

“The song has a very dark theme, but I didn’t want it to be to turgid or dour, I wanted the music to be in contrast with this and lift the overall message to another place with a wry sense of humour. There is also reference to the life partner and recognition of the difficulties that they will have to face when presented with this scenario, hopefully this somber message is balanced with the decent pop song sensibilities.”
