The Fashion Weak, the retro synth wave trio featuring Welsh artist John MOuse, have aired their new single “Eighteen Percent of Swansea“, alongside an accompanying music video.
Eighteen Percent of Swansea is another Retro Synth Disco classic twisted by John MOuse, singing about the vital statistics of Swansea’s work based economy and the problems facing the main employer in the City.
The Juxtaposition of a musical backdrop reminiscent of The Eurythmics and Duran Duran with the lyrical content of David Foster Wallace is in harmony with the previous The Fashion Weak singles which featured Gruff Rhys (Super Furry Animals), and MIKI BERENYI (Lush).
The track is out now via Manchester label Totally Snick Records, buy it here and watch the video below.
The Fashion Weak are a combination of the old school new wave of synth wave with words and hooky chorus’s. The new release coincides with their new tour.
