The Horrors Announce New LP ‘Night Life’, Share “The Silence That Remains”

The Horrors Announce New LP 'Night Life', Air "The Silence That Remains"

Southend-on-Sea post punk/alt band The Horrors have announced the release of their sixth studio album, Night Life.

Marking the announcement the band have also aired the lead single “The Silence That Remains“, and its accompanying video. The record will be out on March 21 via Fiction Records. Pre-order your copy here.

Produced by Yves Rothman (Yves Tumor, Blondshell), Night Life is “a record of weight and space, melancholy and ecstasy, exploring the thoughts that happen under the cover of darkness; the places your mind takes you when the rest of the world is asleep. A record born out of a desire to revive the raw, instinctive spirit of the band’s early work”.

According to the press release, the ‘Night Life’ here is not the vim and vigour of pubs and clubs. It’s the thoughts that happen under the cover of darkness; the places your mind takes you when the rest of the world is asleep. A record born out of a desire to revive the raw, instinctive spirit of the band’s early work.

In a statement, the band said of the track: “’The Silence that Remains’ is a 3am insomnia walk through the city, retracing our steps and putting the past to bed. Our new chapter is beginning and we’re looking forward to taking you with us. The Horrors are never-ending.”
