Welsh alt-rock band The Joy Formidable have unleashed their new single “Cut Your Face” and its accompanying video.
The song is out now via Hassle/Full Time Hobby and is their first new material since the release of their album ‘Into The Blue’, in 2021. Grab it here.
Speaking about it, singer Ritzy Bryan says: “‘Cut Your Face’ is a reminder to myself that even in shyness, when that voice is telling you to hide away, that what I really want is deep, authentic connection. The only way to satisfy that longing is to be vulnerable, messy and imperfect…and life is all the more beautiful because of it.”

The Joy Formidable is made up of lead vocalist/guitarist Ritzy Bryan, bassist/vocalist Rhydian Dafydd and drummer Matt Thomas. Ritzy and Rhydian originally played together as part of indie rock band Tricky Nixon, which later reformed into a New Wave/post-punk band Sidecar Kisses. They regrouped on returning to Mold, Wales and formed The Joy Formidable in 2007.
