Brighton, UK indie rockers The Kooks have aired their new single “If They Could Only Know” alongside an accompanying video.

Never/Know marks a significant moment for The Kooks, signaling both a return to their signature anthemic songwriting and a bold step into new creative territory. Ultimately, the album delivers on the well-crafted pop-rock songwriting they are known for. This return to form and exploration of new sounds is further evidenced by additional standout tracks such as “Compass Will Fracture,” “All Over The World,” and “If They Could Only Know.” Self-produced by Pritchard (except track 9 by J Lloyd), this album emerged from a desire to reconnect with their original creative drive. As Pritchard explains, “It’s not about going back to the first album’s sound, but to the roots of our influences and asking, ‘What is the identity of this band?’” Encapsulating the magic of their debut while exploring fresh territory, Never/Know remains dedicated to well-crafted pop-rock songwriting.
