About The Search

In 1999, a group of teenagers found their musical paths crossing each other. Johan Zeitler, Jonathan Nilsson, Tina Bergström, Tomas Svahn, Joakim Jacobsson and Razmig Tekeyan founded The Silverslut in Uppsala, Sweden. In 2003 The Silverslut changed their name into The Search and released their first full-length album, The Search in 2004.

The Search “Pick Me Up” Lyrics:

Day or night babe
Was it night or day
When I pleaded
Don’t turn away
Confined to
A room without a view
Couldn’t breathe in there
Went looking for you

Suddenly the streets
Turned strangely silent
Every stray alive
Captured by fog
A faded photograph
A single memory
Of what they had lost

Pick me up
Can we try again

Through concrete flowers
Abandoned vehicles
The same view for hours
Trying to pick up a trace

We leave scars
On each other’s hearts
Thought that I could change
False promises made
The wrong melody
Repeated history
Stays with me
Plays on and on

Pick me up
Don’t give up on us
No don’t give up on us
