Berlin post punk / no wave /experimental / noise rock band TON have shared their new single “Movement“.
The song serves as the second single from the upcoming EP ‘Rooms‘, out on 17th January 2025 through RE−TON. Grab it here.
TON is an experimental project that approaches the auditive notion through sound design, including components and rhythms from post-punk, wave, electronic music, noise, and gloom into sonic chambers. The project explores the transformation of connotation, expression, and perception through the recontextualization, staging, and alienation of a note, sound, sequence, or genre.
The latest EP started as an idea from Julien Siemann, which evolved into collaborations and features with members (Vincent Wedel, Lizz and Karen Dhios) in various places and times. Without their ideas, participation, and creativity, ‘Rooms’ would not sound as diverse or be the project it is now.
Their new offering, is a post-punk/noise rock/no wave track that drifts between nostalgia and change, between dreams and reality. Written, produced and edited by Julien Siemann, Movement outlines a new sonic blue print where time disintegrates and passes by.
