A Deeper Heaven Airs New Single "Future Fear"

Salt Lake City, Utah dream pop / shoegaze / indie act A Deeper Heaven (aka singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Marc Wheeler) has aired his new single “Future Fear“.

The track is out this Friday, April 19 and is the follow-up to his single “Stay”, released in February. Buy it here.

A Deeper Heaven creates a “sense of bittersweet motion”, pulling and pushing you to another state, like entering a detailed, deep and wistful dream. Drawing inspiration from recent acts like
Wild Nothing, Beach Fossils, DIIV, Film School, and The Haunted Youth, as well as classic niches from RIDE, Echo & the Bunnymen, Slowdive, Adorable, Catherine Wheel, to New Order, The Cure, Suede and The Smiths.

Take a listen below.

A Deeper Heaven “Future Fear” Lyrics:

A winnowed mind when it’s out of tune
You didn’t know if all in time
You’d feel it go away
Or fall too low

All this time
I feared that someday (I feel it now)
If you’ll hold your life
Or if you’ll fall

You’re far too young
Ahhh
You’re far too young

I want to keep you from harm
And take it all away
Independent soul
Seize the day
, we are all awake

We are lost, can we be found?, we don’t know…

We are lost and will be found
In our own way
We are lost and will be found
There’s no wrong way
You’re far too young
I fall to ya
I fall to ya
Ahhh
