Italian electrowave/post punk/synth wave/goth/darkwave band Ash Code have revealed their new single “Nostalgia“ alongside a music video.
The song is out today, November 1st and marks their first new music in over a year. The band says “this is a new single for a new beginning.”
Formed in 2014 in Napoli by singer Alessandro Belluccio, keyboardist Claudia Nottebella and bass player Adriano Belluccio, Ash Code music covers a wide range of genres including darkwave, coldwave, post-punk, and synthpop. The trio combines darkwave, noise, and electronic music with a solid drum machine. Dark ballads and obsessive beats, deep and melancholic synths, noise and distortions, arpeggiators, and delays. Lights and shades. Dances of Death. Visions and theatricality. Coded ash.
Commenting on the track, Alessandro Belluccio says:
“The song acts as a reminder not to become trapped in nostalgia or fixated on the idea that the past was somehow better than what the future holds. It’s a personal message to break free from that mindset and allow myself to look forward with a sense of excitement and optimism. I’m urging myself to embrace what lies ahead with open-mindedness, seeing new possibilities and welcoming change with positivity.”

Ash Code “Nostalgia” Lyrics:
Your lipstick’s blaze, it sears my eyes
I savored every second ’til the last goodbye
Love’s twilight in contradictions
The heart is lost in these visions
Nostalgia is a crime (x2)
In shadows, I confide
Memories like ghosts, haunt my mind
Love’s twilight in contradictions
The life is lost in these visions
Nostalgia is a crime (x2)
Is a crime, is a crime
You’re coming, not coming
Is a crime
You’re coming, not coming
It’s a crime
You’re coming, not coming (x3)
Not coming, not coming
