Beach Fossils Drop Music Video For "Tough Love"

Brooklyn-based bedroom pop/lo-fi band Beach Fossils have dropped the video for their latest single “Tough Love“.

The track is taken from their album ‘Bunny‘, released back in June via Bayonet Records. Grab your copy here if you haven’t already.

Bunny continues the evolution of Beach Fossils’ sound, pulling elements from the jangly melancholy of What a Pleasure EP (2011), the gritty, post-punk inspired tracks from Clash the Truth (2013), and the lush arrangements of Somersault (2017). Inspired by the psych-pop of early Verve and Spiritualized albums and perennial influences like The Cure, Wire, The Byrds, and The Velvet Underground, Bunny was produced and recorded by frontman Dustin Payseur.

Commenting on the Joe Agius-directed video for Tough Love, they shared:

Our friend Joe grabbed his camera and we all went out. With no plan in mind, we started at a bar and ran into some friends, then we decided to keep going to different bars. Along the way we kept running into more and more friends and started amassing a larger and larger group to go to the next bar and the next bar… By the end of it we had a big group and were all just hanging out and having a good time. Then we finished at Jack’s apartment. All in a night’s fun.”
