Beverly Kills “Hymn to You” Lyrics:
Missed my own graduation
a card so I always think of you
you know I read it sometimes
you know I read it sometimes
Electric cars and obituaries
that’s the street I call my own
breathe in and I breathe out
flashing pictures of a childhood
yeah you never know if it happened or not
all I ever wanted was to learn
how to completely disappear
into a crowd where no one
ever sees or hears
all I ever wanted was to be
god’s favourite
for your eyes only
for your eyes only
saw your dad at the supermarket
he looks older
I guess the same thing goes for me
still I feel like a complete rookie
not a second over twenty-three
all I ever wanted was to learn
how to completely disappear
into a crowd where no one
ever sees or hears
all I ever wanted was to be
god’s favourite
for your eyes only
the same goes for me
