Brighton-based indie/alt band CIEL have released their new single “Talk”.
The song is out now via Jazz Life Records (Blood Red Shoes, Tigercub, Circe) and is the first taste of their upcoming ‘Rather Be Alone’, out later this year. The band’s latest EP ‘Make It Better’, came out in July.
Get it here and take a listen below.
With members originating from The Netherlands, Spain and the UK, the indie-rock three piece met on the South Coast of England where they distilled their differing backgrounds and influences into grunge-pop finery. Straddling the creative baggage of three countries’ scenes, whilst not really feeling like they belong to any of
them, CIEL’s music has a nagging yet fresh, dark and sometimes quietly glorious quality to it. Combining their love of fuzzy indie rock, 90’s grunge, goth and shoegaze, the band’s broody and gritty music is tempered by the soft, icy, but emotive melodies of singer Michelle Hindriks.
