Yorkshire post punk band DEADLETTER have returned with their new single “The Snitching Hour“, alongside an accompanying video.
The song is out now and follows on from last year’s debut EP ‘Heat!‘, included in our Best EPs of 2022 list. Buy it here.
Channelling all of their energy into the song’s eruptive chorus chant of “Love Thy Neighbour”, ‘The Snitching Hour’ sees the band scratching far below the surface of what we are presented with each day, looking to shine a light onto the emergence of a certain neighbourly distrust and Orwellian curtain twitching.
Lead singer Zac Lawrence comments:
“Are we slowly but surely being tacitly tempted into a culture of casual betrayal? The messages we are fed, on the outside, might be read as being solely in the interest of public safety – but take a closer look, and perhaps there’s a more insidious undertone to it all…”
