Delivery Air New Single/Video "Operating At A Loss"

Melbourne garage punk/indie rock/post punk/alt five-piece Delivery have aired their new single, “Operating At A Loss,” alongside a music video.

The track features on their just announced new album, Force Majeure, set to arrive on January 17 via Heavenly Recordings. Pre-order your copy here.

Across the record, the guitars bite and scratch and the rhythm section locks behind them in perfect time and the listener grabs on for dear life and just tries to keep holding on. This is an album of urgent, joyous noise made by your new favorite band.

“Operating At A Loss” starts with a rumble of drums and predatory bass before exploding out of the speakers, a punk rock new wave kick that will propel listeners through a brick wall.

Speaking about it, Delivery say: “I’ve never really worked in a proper office, but ‘Operating At A Loss’ is what I imagine goes on around the professional workplace. Lots of business jargon, dudes in suits climbing the corporate ladder, plenty of sentiments like “you’ve got to spend money to make money” etc. To be fair, I actually do like that phrase although this song is more about the first component than the second one. I also like playing guitar, and on this occasion I made up some chords and told the band to play them on repeat so I could do a big solo. “You win some, you lose some” etc.”
