Miami via New York no-wave/post-punk band Donzii have premiered the video for their new single “Disco Rosie“.
The song features on their upcoming EP ‘For the People‘, a reissue of the band’s first two sold out EPs ‘Gladugly’ & ‘Mines’, including two unreleased tracks, due to be released on March 23 via Born Losers Records. Pre-order it here.
Taking on the disco-funk vibes of late 70s NYC No Wave, and channeling the likes of ZE Records chanteuses Cristina, Lizzy Mercier Descloux, Disco Rosie is a vibrant dive into elegant, sophisticated sleaze.

Named after an Italian speedboat company—corrupted with an extra i—Donzii formed in 2015. Front-woman Jenna Balfe and bassist Dennis Fuller form the heart of the band alongside guitarist Danny Heinze. Together they cast a spell upon all things Donzii creating a genre defying tropical and rhythmic tincture of sonic alchemy and gothic lore.
The Donzii galaxy has included a number of supporting musicians over the years, helping to form their poly-blend of electronics, bass guitar, ‘80s utopian guitar and vocalist Balfe’s hauntingly spirited vocals. Their post-punk vision is a unity of go-hard industrial bangers, darkly ambient balladry, and new takes on the funk traditions of No Wave.
