Bristol house music producer Eli Brown has released his new single “Remedy” and its accompanying visuals.
The song is out now via his own imprint his imprint, Arcane. Grab it here.
Equal parts a master producer and veritable phenomenon, Eli Brown is a sonic force in a category of his own. Since breaking onto the scene in 2016, the techno powerhouse’s gloomy tone and visceral energy have rocketed him from the UK underground to global legend status at breakneck speed. With a career spanning more than two decades, the enigmatic persona is yet another incarnation of the ingenuity, intensity and innovation of the man behind the music, distilled into the singular artistic vision that is Eli Brown.
Brown’s innovative approach to club sounds roots itself in the sinister; placing the listener in the darkest sonic recesses before throwing them onto the dance floor at breakneck speed, pairing those foreboding textures with a pulsing, destructive rhythm.
Speaking about “Remedy“, Eli says:
“I’m always drawing inspiration from the music i grew up with. For example, you’ll hear obvious nods to the vocals of maxi jazz from faithless throughout this track. I wanted to create something that feels visceral and aggressive, but also has a euphoric moment in the break – perfect for playing toward the end of my sets. ‘Remedy’ is about escapism through sonics. It’s universally familiar and it’s why many of us love going to clubs, festivals, concerts and so on. This is a big one and i hope this track resonates with audiences in the same way it does for me.”
