Auckland, New Zealand bedroom pop/lo-fi artist Fazerdaze (aka Amelia Murray) has revealed her new single “Bigger” and its accompanying video.
The song is out now through section1 /Flying Nun, and follows this year’s single “Flood Into”, and last year’s EP Break!. Grab it here.
The video was shot on New Brighton Beach, Ōtautahi, New Zealand by Tom Lynch. Take a look below.
Amelia Murray has been releasing music as Fazerdaze since 2014, when her first EP of dreamy guitar tunes began accumulating a worldwide audience of fans. The ripple turned into a tidal wave with the release of viral hit ‘Lucky Girl’ and Fazerdaze set off to tour the world.
Her debut LP, 2017’s Morningside, launched Amelia onto the global stage with rave reviews from important publications, and tours to the other side of the world from her previous home base of Tāmaki Makaurau. But the wheels were coming off behind the scenes. A combination of unhealthy personal relationships, feelings of unworthiness regarding her burgeoning success and general mental exhaustion soon began to manifest in her musical output; for years, Amelia found she couldn’t finish a single song. That is until she relinquished resilience as a badge of honour and let herself crack open with Break!.
