Foster The People “Take Me Back” Lyrics:
Take me closer to the good times
You know you know we’ll be alright
Take me closer to the good times
I’m hearing things I’m hearing things
The wilderness echoes in my dreams
Conversations about funny things
But I muted everybody
cause I’m always moving forward
but a part of me is always waving back at my past life
Letting all my dreams take me downstream
And bring me that much closer to the good times
Fall in love with yourself again
Like we did when we were children (x2)
Before social modifications
My inner life is fresh as fuck
Infinite dimensions
Pull up on that astral line
Floating over all the city life below
Gets me closer to the good times
always moving forward
but a part of me is always waving back at my past life
Letting all my dreams take me downstream
And bring me that much closer to the good times
Take me closer to the good times (x2)
