Foulness Island Releases Music Video For "Mist"

Australian bedroom pop solo project Foulness Island has released the video for his latest single “Mist“.

The track, “a guitar pop song based on escapism and becoming overwhelmed”, features on new EP ‘Isles of Sorrow‘, out now. Grab it here.

Speaking about the EP, FI shares:

Isles of Sorrow was planned just after I started recording under the Foulness Island handle, Crafted from an array of technical issues, personal frustration and indecision, all recorded in the sweltering comfort of a cramped bedroom with a 335, Casino, drum machine & a temperamental Macbook.

Each track is a optimistic, dreamy and warped look into my daily life & situations I find myself struggling with, thanks to a childhood diagnosis of high-functioning autism, which in turn led to my lyrics for certain tracks taking a surreal, almost cinematic dive.

Foulness Island “Mist” Lyrics:

Monday morning, indecision day.
I’m sprawled in lost ideas and dreams
So what do you suggest I do?
I’ll always listen to you.

Do you know I live day to day with this noise?
I can’t seem to tune it out.
But when it gets too much for me to bear
the noises fade when I hear your voice

I just want to escape
These pointless phone calls
Just tell me something new

Let’s just pack our shit
and run into the hills
Take me somewhere

under the mist, where time means nothing anymore.

Do you know I live day to day with this noise?
I can’t seem to tune it out.

But when it gets too much for me to bear
the noises fade when I hear your voice
