Los Angeles-based nondimensional / synth-driven pop artist Geneva Jacuzzi (aka née Garvin) has released her new single “Laps of Luxury”, alongside a music video.
The track is taken from her third studio album ‘Triple Fire‘, out this Friday, August 25 through Dais Records. Get your copy here.
An alchemical reaction of pop sugar, chaos energy, swaggering synth bass, Haçienda drum machinery, and sultry vocal spellcasting, Triple Fire is her most collaborative to date. Taking the director’s chair, she created a new vision for the future of mankind – an eclectic spectrum of moods to the continuum of human emotions: “Funny, sexy, sad, scary, witty, hopeful, menacing. Eventually it deconstructs, turns into a party, and then ends sweet and soft. Like a horror film, watched in reverse.”
Wildcard electronic pop and clever post-apocalyptic camp, the album crystallizes her mastery of new wave melody and disco aerobics, alternately freaky, glamorous, nihilistic, and romantic.
“Laps of Luxury” sets the template – a strobe-lit dreamer’s delight of swaggering synth bass, Haçienda drum machinery, and sultry vocal spellcasting (“Tragic mysteries I’ve known for centuries / I burned all memories and turned to fantasy”).
