Aussie indie pop / shoegaze /alt duo Grazer have shared their new single “Demon Life”, alongside a music video.
The song is another glimpse into their forthcoming album “I Always Follow“, produced by Gab Strum (Mallrat, Gretta Ray, Cry Club), due to be released on September 20. They have previously unveiled “Memory Screen”.
Discussing the release, they explained:
“Demon Life is a story lived out by many of the youth of today, turmoil, disruption, instability of relationships and housing, leading to isolation and illness. They are little more than ghosts, unseen by the “normal”, “respectable” members of society. The only sympathy we get is a curt “Get well soon”.”

Grazer is the joint musical venture of Matt and Mollie, whose backgrounds of painting, photography and poetry coordinate their eclectic sound. The music is a dreamy coalescence of 80s indie pop and the catharsis of 90s grunge and shoegaze.
Lyrics:
Hey there, glad to meet you
First time, going all the way down
And you won’t be back again.
All night, through the city
Checked out, and the party’s shut down
in the flashing lights.
Gonna get sick, gonna get well soon
In bed till late afternoon
Oh my, oh my
Wanna get caught, want it all to end
Then I meet you and we descend
Oh my, oh my
Demon Life, ooh ooh, Demon Life, ooh ooh
Proposition, just a silly girl
Haven’t seen you about
It’s a fleeting crowd
Isolation, it’s a funny thing
I did not account
The demon is, out
Kicked out, leave all my clothes
New phone, forget my dealers tab
I feel nothing at all
