Lozenge Share New Single/Video "Radio Song"

Leeds nu-gaze / dream pop / alternative three-piece Lozenge have shared their new single “Radio Song“, alongside a video.

The song, their most melodic offering to date, is out now and follows previous singles Interloper and Precious. Grab it here.

Lozenge formed by Joe Collinson (vocals, guitars), who recruited Jacob Marston (drums, ex-Dead Naked Hippies) and James Heywood (bass). “Radio Song” is the third of 4 singles that the group plan to release in the first half of 2024.

Allowing greater space for introspection than previous offerings, Radio Song’s guitars swell like blurred scenery passing the windows of a moving car kept on the road by a considered and consistent rhythm section. The accompanying video, shot in-house by the band, maintains the 90s, lo-fi aesthetic that has cloaked all their visual material so far.

In a statement, they said of new track:

Radio Song is the realisation that in the minutiae of everyday action sits the shadow of your parents. With time comes the inevitability that your sense of self is merged with different fragments of their character and each realisation is like a song from the radio in childhood that sits distractingly at the forefront of your mind.”
