Bristol indie pop/ alt four-piece Make Friends have aired their new single “I Lose, You Lose“.
The song features on the upcoming EP ‘Loaded Fun‘, written and produced with Bombay Bicycle Club’s Ed Nash, due out 13th September. Pre-order it here.
Dispensing hook-laden and infectiously catchy tunes, Bristol’s Make Friends have quickly established themselves as the next frontrunners of the UK indie pop scene. Joining forces with Ed Nash they are ready to mark themselves out as one of the UK’s most exciting musical exports.
Commenting on the track, the band’s Connor Crabb says:
“I Lose, You Lose is about two people leaving each other. The shared sense of loss between both parties, and, in the end, no winners. It’s a song about anxiety and the realisation that actually the person you’re with, wasn’t all you thought they were. But alas, I found solace in this breakup. Knowing I did all I could. That constant fact in your mind … “If I lose you, you lose me”. And somehow that made me feel better. This song was a turning point for me. And it helped me move past some rubbish times.”
