UK post punk / indie / experimental band Marcel Wave have shared their new single “Barrow Boys“, accompanied by a music video.
The track appears on their forthcoming debut album ‘Something Looming‘, out on June 14th through Upset The Rhythm and Feel It Records. Pre-order it here.
‘Something Looming’, is packed with eulogies for tragic actresses, ancient riverbeds and concrete obscenity. Marcel Wave (featuring members of Cold Pumas & Sauna Youth) are part trades club symphony, part itchy serenade and part wistful lament.
Marcel Wave invites the listener to dance to society’s decline, and then to later weep into its lukewarm pint. ‘Barrow Boys’, is a raucous ode to the death of the docklands!
