British indie rocker Miles Kane has aired his cover version of Echo & The Bunnymen’s classic “The Back of Love” – Live at Kempston Street Studios.
Echo & the Bunnymen, one of Kane’s favourite bands, released “The Back of Love” on May 21, 1982. The track reached number nineteen on the UK Singles Chart the same month and was later included on Echo’s album ‘Porcupine’ released on February 4, 1983.
Speaking about it, Miles shared:
“One of my favourite bands ever, Echo & The Bunnymen.
Could have picked so many to cover but chose Back Of Love as it such a unique brilliant song! Will Sergeant guitar skills had always inspired me just as does Ian McCullochs lyrics and melodies.
What a combo, what a band, what a song!”
