Austin/Houston future wave/synth pop duo Night Drive (made up of Rodney Connell and Brandon Duhon) have premiered their new single “Cover Your Eyes” alongside an accompanying video.
The track is taken from their highly-anticipated new album ‘Position II‘, which will be out on August 4th, we have previously heard “Summerwaves”. Pre-order your copy here.
Speaking about it, they say:
“‘Cover Your Eyes’ likens the uncertainty of modern times to an immense disaster unfolding in real time. Like an alarm going off, it pulsates with intense urgency as everything appears to be going off the rails, intently examining how we got here and how to find hope in a world filled with chaos and bad actors. For this particular song, we opted not to use guitars or any “organic” instruments as to reflect the modern techno-dystopia we find ourselves in.”

Inspired by sci-fi cinematic landscapes, Night Drive creates modern synth-pop that explores the darker currents of abstract emotion.
