Manchester post punk/indie band Peacock Method have revealed their new single “Love is Blue“.
The track follows previous singles ‘Slowly’ and ‘Your Faith’ both with influences of Manchester royalty such as The Smiths and Joy Division, as well as the likes of The Cure or Slowdive. With that in mind, one might already be under the assumption they know exactly what Peacock Method would sound like, but they need only look as far as new single ‘Love is Blue’ to be proven wrong.
Three minutes of constantly shifting and swirling textures, it’s the band’s most ambitious offering to date; an exploration in dynamics that shows exactly what they’re capable of.
“Love Is Blue began as a poem” the band explain, “and it became a colourful ambient love song when brought to the whole band.”
