
Montreal-based goth / post punk / darkwave band Scene Noir have shared their new single “The Color of Desire“, and its accompanying video.
The song, Produced by Franky Selector, is out today 29 through Velouria Recordz. It follows on from last year’s EP ‘Violent Summer‘. Grab it here.
Scene Noir’s current line-up consists of Aislinn Vaudry (vocals/synths), Kevin Hills (bass), David Brennan (guitar) and Andrew Velvet (vocals/synths/guitars).
The band formed in 2011 when Andrew Velvet and Dave Brennan began playing indie venues and festivals around their native Montreal. Their musical influences include Sonic Youth, The Doors, Spiritualized, Ride, Joy Division, The Wedding Present, The National.
In 2014 they released their first full length, “Waves” via Cold Model Records. This was followed by another Canadian tour in company of Montreal’s Echo Beach. 2017 marked the release of “From Dreams to Memories”, a more electronic/goth sounding release featuring the singles “Another Night Of London Rain” and “Submission”. In 2018 the band welcome two new members, Aislinn Vaudry (guitars/vocals) and Kevin Hills (bass).
2021 saw the release of their latest album “Telegraph”, an 8-song album that pushes the boundaries of modern darkwave and post-punk.
