Los Angeles indie / electronic /alternative duo Peel (made up of Sean Cimino and Isom Innis) have unveiled their new single “Manic World“.
The song is taken from their debut full-length album ‘Acid Star‘, out today, March 29 via Innovative Leisure. Pre-order your copy here.
Peel have always been based upon a foundation of knowing how to go with the flow. Cimino and Innis first met in 2010 after they had both been asked to join the touring group of Foster the People, and instantly latched onto one another. The two multi-instrumentalists have shared a path during their time in Mark Foster’s influential rock band, going from touring to full-time members, eventually contributing on record as well as on stage. The two developed a musical language all their own over the years, and there wasn’t a whole lot of initial intent behind the sessions that led to the birth of Peel.
Acid Star is an album that swirls dance-music paint onto a rock canvas. Inspired in part by genre-bending Creation Records bands like Primal Scream and Madchester groups like Happy Mondays, the record gives a modern spin on a classic formula.
