SCHØØL Air Debut Single/Video "N.S.M.L.Y.D"

French shoegaze / indie rock band SCHØØL have aired their debut single “N.S.M.L.Y.D” and its accompanying video.

SCHØØL formed in Paris in fall 2023, led by Francis Mallari (Rendez-Vous’ singer), Erica Ashleson (Special Friend, Dog Park) on bass, Jack Moase (Liquid Face) on guitar, and Alex Battez (Marble Arch) on drums. They came together to form the band they dreamed of as teenagers. Their music draws inspiration from 90s shoegaze bands like Swirlies and Drop Nineteens.

‘N.S.M.L.Y.D’ (Nothing Satisfies Me Like You Do) is a pop song about being a fan of an idol. The idea behind the synth riff was to be as catchy as an old phone ringtone that get stuck in your head.

The song is out today, May 30 via Géographie, grab it here and watch the Francis Mallari and Ludovic Azemar-directed video below.

The band will be opening for Drahla in Paris Point FMR on June 3.

SCHØØL “N.S.M.L.Y.D” Lyrics:

No matter you know the destination
I just want to go wherever you go
No need to speak, no communication
I already know, I already know

I like every books I’ve read about you yeah (x2)

Nothing satisfies me like you do (x4)
No one and nothing (x6)
Satisfies me now
Like you do
