Bergen-based art rock/minimal/electronic/death disco band Sonisk Blodbad have unleashed their new single “Pink Cadillac“, the second taste of their upcoming fifth album ‘The Shores Of Oblivion‘.
The song, made in collaboration with none other than Stein Monstad, really emphasizes the band’s anarchic way of making music and is out now via Apollon Records.
Known as the frontman of the cult band Stainmonsters, Monstad currently lives in Martinique in the Caribbean, something heard in the characteristic sounds of the massive “Phasmatidae”, that live right outside his window and have found their way into the recordings, and then immediately released again via your speakers.
“Pink Cadillac” is probably best described as: Holger Czukay (The Can) meets Claudio Simonetti (Goblin) and together they create something completely new in the ruins of Lee Perry’s Black Ark Studios. Black Devil Music Club rises from the ashes and spreads its wings again while Kraftwerk polishes their glasses before driving on auf der Autobahn.
