Spoon Speaker Man is the electrifying musical collaboration born from long friendship between of iconic Power of Dreams (POD) and Archive frontman Craig Walker and Dan Worton, one fifth of the legendary Ned’s Atomic Dustbin. Their shared passion for music has now culminated in this thrilling new project.
The song has been added to our current playlist and is the first single to be taken from their debut album ‘The Age Of No Opinion’, which will be released later this year via Big Pond Records. Pre-order it here from July 27.
‘The Age Of No Opinion’ explores the effects of modern media on our surroundings whilst driving home the reality of its effects on our judgement. Perfectly accompanied by powerful and compelling guitar hooks, a pulsating bass line, and pounding drums, this nostalgic instrumentation is an acute acknowledgement of both Craig and Dan’s music careers, whilst the insightful and intuitive lyrics perfectly encapsulate the fear and realities of present-day.
The single is just the beginning, with a whole record of thought-provoking and powerful musings set to release later this year and a UK tour set to celebrate this exciting album. Spoon Speaker Man will be taking over airwaves and venues, making 2024 the year this iconic band start ‘running wild’. The 12-track record will be out in October.
