French krautrock/post punk/electronic duo TASTE (made up of La Mverte and Yan Wagner) have premiered their new single “Pile Of Guilt“ and its accompanying video.
The song is out now and is the first taste of an upcoming EP, the follow-up to their self titled debut EP, released back in February. Grab it here.
UPDATE 06/26/2023: “Pile Of Guilt“ is our new Single of the Week!
TASTE is first and foremost the story of a friendship between two French musicians and producers formed ten years ago during a joint performance in Berlin. A friendship born under the sign of the love of music, a certain aesthetic necessity, as well as the taste of partying until dawn. Also tells the story of pieces built little by little, without battle plans or preconceived ideas, according to their desires and their common taste for wobbly disco, krautrock, industrial, new wave, and vicious dance music.

TASTE “Pile Of Guilt” Lyrics:
The future is an empty shell
It’s only what you make of it
We’re climbing up a pile of guilt
The future doesn’t even exist
Lock down downtown
Nobody around
Junk field burnt down
There’s no one to be found
We’re live clear stream
The air is full of sound
Full of RATATA coin coin crac crac
The future is an empty shell
It’s only what you make of it
We’re climbing up a pile of guilt
The future doesn’t even exist (x2)
Hands up pants heads down
Watch for the hounds
We’re live shit stream
The sounds don’t worth a dime
Junk field burnt down
There’s no one to be found
Lots of Ratatat quoi quoi crac crac
No one gives a damn
The future is an empty shell
It’s only what you make of it
We’re climbing up a pile of guilt
The future doesn’t even exist (x2)
