English post-punk/new wave inspired quartet Teleforme have unleashed their new single “Hold Your Head”.
The band from the Thames Delta, are making a definitive statement in this angry, divided climate. ‘Hold Your Head’ delivers a message of anxiety for unavoidable change, as well as the strength to journey through these problems in modern society: “I know it’s tough, but don’t be afraid to fall, hold your head.”
Following the heritage of their local bloodline, Teleforme channel the dynamic sonic waterfall of The Horrors, and draw on the leftfield stylings of These New Puritans.
The band consists of singer and Hedi Slimane muse Ryan Turner, alongside Liam Dunne on lead guitar, Bill Phelps on bass and Harry Clarke holding up the back on drums and percussion.
The song is out today (Nov 25) through Stranger Days Records. Get it here and stream it below.
Teleforme “Hold Your Head” Lyrics:
Hold your head, close to mine
She said, you are the answer
The calling card I’ve waited for
And now I’m chasing
Blood in the basin
The morning fires burn tonight
The mourning fires burn for my demise
There’s not a lot of time
Not a lot of time
But not so short to bother passers by
Nothings changing
And I don’t wanna be a part of the chain gang
S-s-s save me, s-s-s save me
From myself, it’s coming
I’m losing, I’m losing, I’m losing everything (x2)
Don’t try, to explain
The chances that you’re gonna take
The rules that you’re gonna break
Cause I heard it on the grapevine
I know it’s bound to hurt I
Couldn’t stand the pain
No I couldn’t stand the pain
But it’s tough
If you see me
I hope you walk right through me
I don’t deserve the time of day, I don’t deserve to hear anything you say
It’s so cold, it’s so cold (x2)
It’s so cold, it’s coming
I’m losing, I’m losing, I’m losing everything (x2)
Hold your head, close to mine she said
I know you’re not, scared to fall (x2)
Hold your head, close to mine she said
I know it’s tough, but don’t be scared to fall
Hold your head
