The KVB Announce New Album 'Tremors', Stream "Labyrinths"
The KVB Tremors

UK psychedelic/shoegaze/post punk duo The KVB (Nicholas Wood and Kat Day) have announced their new studio album ‘Tremors‘.

The follow-up to their 2021 album Unity, will be out on 5th April via Invada Records. Pre-order your copy here.

The band have dubbed their new album ‘dystopian pop’, and wrote it with the live show in mind; full of energy, hooks and dynamic moments. On the album’s subject matter, the band explain that they have “expanded on previous album themes of dystopia, apocalypse and the human condition, but with a more pessimistic outlook and deeper distrust than before. It also touches on themes of loss, and the resistance, lament and acceptance of inevitable change.”

Along with the album announcement, the duo premiered the record’s lead single “Labyrinths“, as well as its accompanying video. Speaking about it, they say:

‘Labyrinths’ is one of the more aggressive tracks on the album. Thematically it touches on historical subjectivity; the flexibility of truth and construction of narratives. The self-directed music video is a visceral assault of digitalised nature, CRT screens and analogue glitch textures. We wanted the aesthetic to reflect the album artwork and the energy of the edit to mirror the aggression of the song.”

Vocalist/keyboardist/visual artist Kat Day joined Wood in 2011, and they released their debut album, Always Then, in 2012 (Clan Destine Records).
