Belgian cold wave/post punk band The Ultimate Dreamers have unveiled their new single “Spiritchaser“ and its accompanying visuals.
Following the dark, haunting vibes of their last release “Digging”, the band return with the second glimpse into their highly anticipated new album ‘Paradoxical Sleep’. Get it here.
This time, they turn up the energy with an infectious, melodic synth-driven track that sticks with you from the beginning. Pulsing basslines, addictive electric guitars, and melancholic vocals intertwine, creating a hazy, darkwave atmosphere reminiscent of THE CURE or early NEW ORDER.
True to their artistic vision, the band have also release a striking video, blending sound and visuals into a powerful, immersive experience.

Active in the mid-80’s and heavily influenced by the British post-punk dissonant style and the Belgian cold wave melancholic atmosphere, the band’s line-up reach a subtle balance between light and darkness: a poignant cold wave fusion of futuristic danceable dream pop with a retro noisy post-punk attitude with surrealistic introspective cynical lyrics dealing with fleeting life, melancholic solitude and other inner demons. Their new album, Paradoxical Sleep will be out on February 7, 2025.
