Scottish rock n roll band TONTO have aired their new single “Charlene“.
The track serves as the second taste of their upcoming 5 track EP ‘Hope, Faith & Carnage‘, set for release later this year. Grab it here.
Tonto was founded by Kieran Fisher, who has previously supported artists including The Snuts and The View’s Kyle Falconer on tour. Seeking a bigger sound, Kieran recruited Lyle Finlay on lead guitar, Lewis Mcgrandles on bass, and Jason Strachan on drums.
Fresh on the heels of the success of their first single release of 2024, ‘Liverpool’, Tonto are upping the ante once again and are coming at us thick and fast with the bangers with their second release of the year with the upbeat groove of ‘Charlene’.
‘Charlene’, written by Kieran and recorded with Mark Morrow in Leith, is a happy little sing along ditty of a tune with its early Beatle-esque beats and melodies mixed with Kieran’s raw and powerful vocals. It has classic written all over it, putting us in mind of a clever mix of The Coral and The View.
