Commenting on the EP, they say: “Human Drama is a five song journey that expands on our well established moody synth meets dreampop / synthwave and feels like the most intense and heartfelt music we’ve created yet…”
About the new single, they added: “Have you ever walked a tightrope edge, not sure which way is down? “Thin Lines” is all about the mental balance between slipping through the cracks and finding a means forward despite everything…“

About Violentene:
Violentene formed in 2017 by Ottawa musician Roland M. and New York City singer Dani Mari. After releasing two successful EPs, Denial and Phantom Youth, Dani left the project in 2019, and MVRIJO stepped in on vocals.
Mvrijo has been a singer-songwriter since her teens, fronting local indie /pop acts and recording projects. Roland was founder of electronic acts Liquified and Politique.
The duo’s latest EP “Otherworld” EP (2021) marked a turning point from prior shoegaze sounds into more synthetic/beat driven territory while retaining the original energy – drawing on past new wave, post punk and dreampop sonics while keeping the emphasis on texture, melancholy, and intense vocals.
