Berlin-based dreamwave/alt/shoegaze artist VV & The Void has unleashed her new single “Devotion (Release The Bats – Halloween Remix)“.
The new single features also a new video that was assembled by VV & The Void leader and chanteuse Valentina Veil. Valentina recently stated:
“For me the pandemic brought up unresolved metaphysical questions. The virus itself is also a metaphysical question. Nobody knows whether viruses are living beings. The truth is that we are all in this together, we live under the same sky. We are, and will continue to be, part of this planet. We are mortal and fragile. “Devotion” can help us to ‘release our bats’ and heal.”
Originally formed in Melbourne, VV & The Void made their auspicious debut in 2018 with the critically acclaimed album “The Upper Room” on Cleopatra Records. Often described as ethereal, gothic, minimal-drone and dark wave, VV & the Void’s music is a singular celebration of an earthly and lucid dichotomy of grace and disproportion. Currently based in Berlin, Valentina has continued her prolific path with a series of fine releases while also continuing to perform across Europe and regularly collaborating with Metropolis Records artists Night Nail. Her latest album “The Cage,” came out back in April through Paris-based Icy Cold Records.
