Southampton, UK indie pop / indie rock band Welly have shared their new single “Cul-De-Sac” alongside an accompanying video.
Speaking about the song and video, frontman Welly says:
“The girl-next-door, except you’ve both grown up a bit now and the WKD isn’t as sweet as it used to be. So whilst it’s fun to go back down the streets we used to own, we realise we’ve far outgrown them… but have we outgrown each other?
“This was the main idea for the music video; ‘Cul-de-Sac’ was never meant to be a single, so I’d never bothered to dream up a visual for it to live in. But once my arm was forced, and I was scrambling for any old nonsense to film, my director, Harvey Payne, came up with the model village concept. Perfect. And a perfect excuse to spend an evening half-drunk pretending I’m the indie-dance Godzilla.”
