Daily J Air New Single/Video "Sunday Stitches"

Auckland-based indie sensation Daily J have aired their new single “Sunday Stitches” and its accompanying video.

The track is out now and serves as the second single from their highly anticipated third studio album. Grab it here.

Following their May release, “Happy Slides”, this single brings in a new era and sound for the band of brothers. The punchy track captures the familiar, bittersweet feeling of those repetitive Saturday nights and their melancholic aftermath. Once again teaming up with producer Joe Faris, who previously shaped the sound of their 2020 album Venus Ate Mars and the fan favourite “Left Me Like Summer,” Daily J infuses “Sunday Stitches” with fast-paced rhythms and uplifting, high-energy instrumentals.

Vocalist and songwriter Jayden Paul explains the lyrical meaning behind the track here:

“I wrote Sunday Stitches about the emotional tug-of-war between succumbing to temporary relief and living a healthier lifestyle. It underscores themes of self-awareness, introspection, and the courage to confront personal demons.”
