Liverpool rock/punk duo Yee Loi have shared their rockin’ new single “Going Spare“, alongside a music video.
The song is out today (February 28) through Modern Sky UK and follows last year’s EP ‘Make some Noise.’ Get it here.
Speaking about it, they say:
“Going Spare is a song about being the middle child of the family, viewed as unimportant, a spare child that no one cares about. The spare child knows she’s better than everyone else and doesn’t care. The sound is The Byrds on overdrive with added punk!.“

About Yee Loi
Yee Loi (meaning two girls in Cantonese) are Rose and Matilda from the northern English peninsula of The Wirral. The 2 sisters grew up listening to the likes of the Ramones and others.
At the ages of 10 and 8, they started playing Ramones songs in their barn and posting videos on YouTube. This led to them meeting and becoming friends with the existing Ramones family, they were encouraged to take their music further. With complete disregard to the current popular music trends of their peer group, they forged ahead with their punk rock and classic rock influences.
Inspired by punk’s DIY attitude, they started composing their own songs and self releasing their music.
