Daily J Share New Single/Video "Tastes Like Forever"

Auckland-based indie sensation Daily J have aired their sunshine-infused new single “Tastes Like Forever” and its accompanying video.

The track is out now and serves as the third single from their highly anticipated new album (TBA). They have previously shared “Sunday Stitches” and “Happy Slides”.

Produced by faithful collaborator Joe Faris, “Tastes Like Forever” wraps listeners in vivid imagery and evokes the thrilling uncertainty of new love. They blend effortlessly with the guitar-led indie rock and pop that has become Daily J’s hallmark sound.

Jayden Paul, the band’s frontman, dives into the inspiration behind the track:  “The song was written to capture the feeling of falling for someone who leaves a lasting impression. It’s about that emotional tug-of-war – the longing, the missed chances, the ‘what ifs’ when someone new steps into your story.”

The video, directed by Dylan Martin, aptly captures the feeling of the song, with mannequins featuring prominently – serving as a metaphor for the way we idealize people in our minds, chasing perfection that may not truly exist.
