About Dune Rats
Originally formed as a duo in 2011, with Danny Beus on guitar and lead vocals and BC Michael Marks on drums and backing vocals, the band later became a three-piece, with Brett Jansch joining as bassist, in 2013. They released their self-titled debut album in 2014 through their label Ratbag Records and supported the release with a global and national tour.
On 11 February 2017, their second album The Kids Will Know It’s Bullshit debuted at number one on the ARIA Albums Chart. 2020 saw the release of their third LP Hurry Up and Wait, which saw their second consecutive #1 on the ARIA Album Chart and also landed #1 on the AIR Independent Chart. The band released their fourth studio album, Real Rare Whale in July 2022.
Dune Rats are notorious for their scrappy live sets, diving head first into mosh-pits and all-round manic euphoria.
