French indie pop/indie rock Fontanarosa have released their new single “Heartland” alongside an accompanying music video.
The track is taken from their upcoming sophomore album ‘Take A Look At The Sea‘, due to be released in April through Howlin Banana Records. Get it here.
The roots of Fontanarosa could be traced back to the peak of 90’s-00’s Indie rock, but it would be too straight forward for a band whose leader and writer Paul Verwaerde enjoys pop culture. The band are singular for their mixture of pop, indie, post-punk, kraut and lo-fi compo’s. They will get you dancing at once and get you wistful with sophisticated romantic pop melodies.

More about Fontanarosa
Fontanarosa was born in 2020, first as a solo project signed with the Howlin Banana Records/ SK Records labels with a self- recorded EP. Paul Verwaerde was born in 1987 in Reading (UK) and through his childhood moved with his parents and brother and sisters from country to country (including Spain and Brazil). A rich combination of cultural exposure but sometimes a difficult experience of loss. Their latest album ‘ARE YOU THERE?’ came out in 2022.
Fontanarosa are:
Paul Verwaerde (Vocals/guitar)
Florian Adrien (Drums)
