German indie/synthpop brother-sister duo Minimal Schlager have aired their cover of The Beatles 1966 classic “Tomorrow Never Knows“.
The cover features on their new compilation ‘Dance is a Place of Resilience’, including unreleased demos, remixes, reworks, and some new songs, out today, May 5 via Duchess Box. Buy it here.
Based between London and Berlin, Minimal Schlager operate at the intersection between Italo disco, the darker corners of New Wave and various forgotten sounds picked up in the dive clubs of Berlin, a direct sweet spot between pure pop and haunting, Lynchian synth pop.
“Tomorrow Never Knows” is the final track of the Beatles’ 1966 studio album Revolver but the first to be recorded. Credited as a Lennon-McCartney song, it was written primarily by John Lennon.
