French dream pop/shoegaze/indie pop artist My Raining Stars (aka Thierry Haliniak) has dropped his new single “The Cost Within” and its accompanying visuals.
The track, dedicated to Haliniak’s father, is taken from his upcoming third album ‘Momentum‘, which will be out on March 21 by Shelflife Records and Too Good To Be True. Pre-order your copy here.
Musically, “The Cost Within” is undoubtedly more pop and upbeat than the two previous singles, but the lyrics remain in line with the tone of the album, with Thierry addressing deeply personal subjects, such as the untimely death of his father in this song.
Once again, the video was directed by Maud Anyways, using self-shot footage of Thierry playing the guitar (with his low angle shot’s signature style).
